South Africa Elephants at the Watering Hole on SafariOne of the things you need to think about for a memorable safari vacation or Honeymoon is where you are going and who you are going with. One of my suppliers just came back from a safari to Kenya/Tanzania. In discussing the trip with her what came out was the fact that she was used to doing safaris in South Africa where most of them are done on private game reserves. As a supplier traveling as a guest of the host countries she was on an escorted group tour.  When in the Serengeti there are two things to remember. One is that Kenya is more about tented camps although some can be very luxurious. The second is that anyone can get a permit to transport guests to the park viewing sites so it can get very crowded. The professionals will take turns moving in for a better view and then backing out so that others can see. Those that just bought a vehicle and are not professional guides/drivers just crowd in and can spoil it for everyone. For the best experience go with a professional guide/driver and try to have them get you there early.
