Honeymooning in Central America

Unlike other popular honeymoon destinations, Central America is one of those places that’s more “off the grid”.  While locations like Fiji, Hawaii, and Jamaica are quite popular amongst honeymooners, the Central American countries like Belize, Venezuela, and Costa Rica can provide a more unique experience.  When visiting these countries on a honeymoon, couples will encounter far less travelers, and be able to appreciate more of the local culture and in turn, be able to focus on each other.  It’s a lot more romantic to visit a place where it’s just the two of you who speak the same language, couples will find themselves having to rely more on each other than the rest of the population.  In addition, these locations in Central America are just as beautiful as the more common island paradises, and boast a more robust native culture.  Browse Belize, Venezuela, and Costa Rica honeymoon packages for a once in a lifetime experience.

In addition to being an ideal honeymoon location, these Central American countries are often far less expensive than more popular honeymoon destinations.  Allowing for extended travel and more time spent together.

Affordable Honeymoon Destinations

When it comes to honeymoons, couples most often think of destinations like Hawaii.  But in truth, Hawaii and other populated areas can be some of the most expensive honeymoon destinations.  While we all want to think that cost isn’t an issue when it comes to a honeymoon, more often than not, it is.  However, with smart planning and a less well known destination, you can save a lot of money and even extend your honeymoon by a couple weeks.  Places like Thailand, Jamaica, and South Africa are not as common amongst honeymooners, but because of the prices in these places, you can spend a lot more time at a hotel, engaging in recreational activities, and sampling the local food.

When choosing a honeymoon destination be sure to plan out your spending in advance.  There’s nothing worse than running out of money near the end of the trip and having to call a friend or relative to wire money.  In general, you can find the prices of all places you will stay in advance, and their rates.  This will be the most significant cost in all likeliness.  But you should also plan costs for recreation (including tours), as well as food.

Tropical Honeymoon Destinations

Let’s face it, when money isn’t an issue, most every couple would prefer to travel somewhere tropical for their honeymoon.  You might think that destinations like Mexico, Trinidad, and Jamaica would be expensive, but in truth, honeymoons to these tropical locations can be quite affordable.  Every couple deserves to have a Caribbean honeymoon, and by purchasing a travel package through a travel agent or an online service, you can have your dream honeymoon even on a budget.  Imagine sunbathing on a white sand beach, swimming in a crystal blue sea, and visiting tropical rainforests!

The Caribbean is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world, and even if traveling stretches the budget a little, it’s an experience that will last a lifetime and you’ll never forget!

When I got married I couldn’t have been more excited! I was about to start my life with the woman I loved and we had a wonderful honeymoon planned. For the longest time I didn’t think we would be able to afford a honeymoon, but fortunately we found one of those cheap honeymoon packages offered by an online business. When I say cheap, I don’t mean shoddy or tacky, I mean affordable to the average American couple. The day of our wedding I was so excited because I had never ridden on a plane. The honeymoon trip would be my first plane ride and I was a little nervous. It’s a good thing that my new wifey was there to take care of me!

honeymooncruises-adventureluxurytravel.jpgThough sometimes I’m not sure whether to be proud or question my character as a person, I’ve been on three honeymoons in my life.  I’ve traveled to several different locations, but I have to say, my favorite honeymoon was in the Caribbean.  I traveled to the various islands, Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba, and had the best time island hopping, cruising, and taking in the scenery.  Because that was my second wife (which didn’t last that long) I can honestly say that the company had nothing to do with it, the environment was just that amazing.

When I was selecting the kind of trip I wanted for that second honeymoon, I started researching honeymoon cruises, and found that a cruise in the Caribbean seemed like the most fun.  I don’t regret the decision at all, it was one of the most enjoyable experience of my life!

Your honeymoon is a special event which will be remembered forever in the hearts and souls of two lifelong lovers.  Often the most popular honeymoon retreats are tropical islands, keeping with the theme of warmth, passion, and adventure common to newlyweds.  Some of the most popular locations include Jamaica, Fiji, and Hawaii, and each offers a different unique appeal.  Jamaican honeymoons will not only offer a tropical paradise, but a culture rich in music and unique foods.  With a Hawaiian honeymoon, you can take in the beautiful smells of a tropical island as well as the danger and excitement of volcanoes, hot springs, and lava floes.  With a Fiji honeymoon, you will have the real feeling that you have escaped the modern world, and gone back to a true island paradise as it was hundreds of years ago.

Choosing a honeymoon should be done by both the bride and the groom, and should reflect their wants and desires as well.  Parents, if you’re buying a wedding present, ensure they want it first!

Likuliku_pool_fijiPlanning your honeymoon can be an exhausting process that often takes up just as much time as planning a wedding.  However, honeymoon vacations should also be relaxing and allow you to appreciate the time with your spouse.  To avoid the planning, consider a honeymoon vacation package.  It will save time, money, and allow you to keep your minds on each other and off distractions.  Here are a few popular honeymoon destinations that often have vacation packages:

~Fiji, the classic island paradise, sun, white sand, and beautiful scenery.

~Aspen, for the couple who love skiing, snowboarding, or just a mountainous and rugged natural environment.

~Brazil, a modern metropolis attached to a breathtaking beach and coastal area, for couples who enjoy modern comforts and sunbathing.

Thailand at a glance:

The kingdom of Thailand lies in the heart of Southeast Asia, making it a natural gateway to Indochina, Myanmar and Southern China. Its shape and geography divide into four natural regions : the mountains and forests of the North; the vast rice fields of the Central Plains; the semi-arid farm lands of the Northeast plateau; and the tropical islands and long coastline of the peninsula South.

The country comprises 76 provinces that are further divided into districts, sub-districts and villages. Bangkok is the capital city and centre of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities. It is also the seat of Thailand’s revered Royal Family, with His Majesty the King recognised as Head of State, Head of the Armed Forces, Upholder of the Buddhist religion and Upholder of all religions.

Thailand is a constitutional monarchy with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, or King Rama IX, the ninth king of the Chakri Dynasty, the present king. The King has reigned for more than half a century, making him the longest reigning Thai monarch. Thailand embraces a rich diversity of cultures and traditions.
